How to Stream Ray-Ban Meta Glasses to Discord

Share the live video feed from your Ray-Ban Meta glasses on Discord with MetaLensAI Screencast. This Android screen-sharing workflow lets you share a single app instead of configuring an RTMP stream URL and stream key.

How MetaLensAI Screencast works

Screencast displays the live video feed from your Ray-Ban Meta glasses inside MetaLensAI. Discord then shares the MetaLensAI app screen through Android screen sharing, so you can show the glasses feed without entering an RTMP stream URL or stream key.

  • Ray-Ban Meta glasses connected to your Android phone.
  • MetaLensAI and Discord installed on the phone.
  • A Discord voice channel or streaming room ready to receive the screen share.
  • A stable connection and enough phone battery for the session.

Discord workflow

How to share Ray-Ban Meta glasses on Discord

  1. Open Discord and join the voice channel or streaming room where you want to share your video.
  2. Start screen sharing in Discord.
  3. In the Android popup titled Start recording or casting with Discord, set Scope to A single app and continue.
  4. Switch to the MetaLensAI app and open Screencast.
  5. Wait until the live video feed from your glasses appears on the screen.
  6. Tap anywhere on the video to hide the MetaLensAI interface controls.

Your phone now displays the glasses feed in MetaLensAI and shares that app screen through Discord.

Discord Screencast troubleshooting

Discord shows a black screen

Stop the current share, start it again, choose A single app, and then select MetaLensAI Screencast. Confirm that the glasses feed is visible in MetaLensAI before returning to Discord.

The feed is delayed or drops frames

Keep the phone close to the glasses, close heavy background apps, and use a stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection. Screen sharing adds extra processing work on the phone.

The MetaLensAI controls cover the shared video

Tap anywhere on the Screencast video to hide the interface controls before continuing the Discord screen share.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use Screencast with platforms other than Discord?

Yes. Screencast is designed for platforms that can share your phone screen or a single app. The exact steps depend on the screen-sharing interface provided by each platform.

Why does Discord not use RTMP like the other streaming options?

Discord does not natively support RTMP (Real-Time Messaging Protocol). You cannot enter an RTMP stream key or URL directly into the application to broadcast. Screencast therefore uses Android screen sharing to pass the glasses feed to Discord and similar platforms.

Why can the video quality be lower?

Screen sharing places a significant additional load on your phone while it receives and displays the video feed from your glasses. On less powerful devices, this may reduce video quality or smoothness. We are continuing to improve this module, so video quality and performance should improve with future releases.
